J.H. Rudolph and Co., Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of Grant Johnson to the Rudolph Team. As a Project Manager/Estimator in our DOT Division, Grant will focus primarily on managing J.H. Rudolph & Co., Inc.’s larger DOT, Municipal and Commercial projects. Grant has over 25 years in the asphalt paving business and was most recently a Project Manager at Rauch Excavating, Inc. based in Morrow, Ohio.

The J.H. Rudolph & Co., Inc. Employee Fishing Tournament was held yesterday, Sunday, July 8 at Huntingburg Lake. Eleven employees participated by arriving early Sunday morning, around 4:30 am to start the 5:00 am tourney. 6 boats participated, most with two fishermen, and ended the day at noon with a weigh-in, lunch and prizes. Employees Rob Walton and Nathan Staten planned and executed the tournament, handling everything from locating a centrally based fishing spot, registering participants and planning the event in general. Safety Manager Kevin Selby manned the grill, treating the group to hamburgers and hot dogs. Superintendent Jerry Wooldridge provided side dishes for everyone and Angela Kifer and Natalie Maasberg helped set up the shelter house for lunch. The following employees particpated in the tourney: Rob Walton, Nathan Staten, Garry Moore, Chris Foster, Mark Wilkes, Carson Wilkes, Todd Heeke, Bob Phillips, Kenny Weatherholt, Charles Holzbog and Tommy Wiseman.
Rob and Nathan took extra care orchestrating the weigh-in with the following results:
Big Bass Prize: $100 to Nathan Staten for catching a 5lb. 12 oz. Largemouth
1st Place Prize: $150 to Rob Walton & Kenny Weatherholt – 12lbs 8 oz. Total Weight
2nd Place Prize: $100 to Todd Heeke & Tommy Wiseman – 10 lbs. Total Weight
3rd Place Prize: $50 to Nathan Staten – 5lbs. 12 oz. Total Weight

Operations Sweeps Prizes at Picnic

J.H. Rudolph Offices close at 11:00 a.m. on May 10 in Honor of Employee Janet S. Greer

J.H. Rudolph & Co., Inc. will close at 11:00 a.m. tomorrow, May 10, 2012 to allow employees time to attend funeral services for long time employee and dear friend, Janet S. Greer. This gesture is meant to be a symbol of our appreciation for Janet’s 33 years of dedicated service to the J.H. Rudolph & Co., Inc. family. She will be sorely missed by all of us.

Audubon Parkway Shoulder Paving
May 4th, 2012
J.H. Rudolph & Co., Inc. has been working on a stretch of the Audubon Parkway in Kentucky the last few weeks for project general contractor, W.L. Harper Company out of Hebron, KY. The scope of work J.H. Rudolph performed centered around asphalt paving on shoulders, including a temporary median crossover and lane change. Paving Superintendent Chris Tucker’s crew has been working diligently on the project.
